The location offers excellent opportunities for fishing. This part of the North West has always held one of the best reputations in the whole country for inland fishing. Trout and Pike are two of the most common fish found in Lough Key.

Lough Gara and Lough Arrow are two more fishing lakes just minutes away from the house. Major fishing competitions held in the area on a regular basis and are organised by people such as Waterways Ireland and Leitrim Tourism.
